Ash Wednesday (evening)

Ash Wednesday begins the season of the Church year known as Lent, which is characterized by a focus on penitence, fasting, prayer, and works of charity and begins forty days (excluding Sundays) prior to Easter. If you would like more information about Lent, feel free to pick up the documents in the Narthex titled, “What is Lent” or “On Keeping a Holy Lent.”
