Conversations for the Common Good: "Road to Character"

David Brooks (Op-ed columnist for The New York Times) begins his new book, “The Road to Character,” by discussing the two types of virtues: resume and eulogy. We all claim that eulogy virtues are the most important and yet, most of our lives are focused on resume virtues. Brooks, throughout his book, presents several examples of various people who have walked this road to developing eulogy virtues.

Join John Compton, pastor of Cobblestone Church and host of the CFCG, as he leads a discussion about the ideas in this book, focussing on some of the forgotten words from what Brooks calls, the ‘old moral ecology.’ (You do not need to read the book to participate in the conversation).
